Track Switch Heaters

Many snow-melting methods have come and gone...salt, sodium chloride solutions, steam, gas and oil-fired hot air, and cold-air blower systems.  Unlike these other methods and systems, Indeeco electric tubular heaters perform consistently, regardless of whether switches and rails are covered in heavy, wet snow, ice or light and fluffy flakes.

Indeeco tubular track switch heaters are "time tested", and cost a fraction of other yet-to-be-proven methods for snow and ice removal.  No need to worry about moving parts that require maintenance and periodic replacement.  Just consistent, reliable heat where it is needed...directly on the switch rails.

Tubular Track Switch Heater Types

Double-Ended Track Switch Heater

Mounted inside or outside of the rail to melt ice and snow in the switch area.  Power must be supplied to each end at installation.  Although, element can be formed into a U-shape with termination at one end, for between rail mounting.

Single-Ended Track Switch Heater

Mounted inside or outside of the rail to melt ice and snow in the switch area.  Power needs to be supplied only to one end at installation.  This reduces initial cost due to less electrical hardware and components required, reduces track time and labor needed.  This unique single-ended design accommodates installation on the outside of the tracks by slipping the heater behind the rail braces from one end.
