SmartRooms™ Thermal Comfort System technology is specifically designed to control radiant heating to provide maximum comfort and energy-efficient operation.
Now that you have made the decision to use Electric Radiant Heating your next question might be how can I provide the highest level of comfort and conserve energy.
A standard wall mounted thermostat is designed to measure air temperature and will not respond well to radiant heating. SmartRooms™ Thermal Comfort System technology is specifically designed to control radiant heating to provide maximum comfort and energy-efficient operation.
The SR-120/240 SmartRooms™ wall mounted programmable controller (Fig. 1) with a built-in sensor can be connected to auxiliary floor or window sensors for total comfort control. The controller is load-carrying at 120/240-volts, has a builtin low voltage transformer and is capable of handling loads up to 15-amperes. The digital display makes it easy to program this controller for set point and room temperature display, date and time, daily optional schedule and
temperature set back for unoccupied periods.
The SmartRooms™ system can be provided with a master controller model SSRDP (Fig. 2) and is capable of controlling up to twenty (20) 20-ampere radiant heating circuits and can be connected to a Building Management System (BMS) for total integrated building control. The master controllers can be furnished with either an on-off or proportional relay for each heating circuit. The proportional relay can be controlled by the BMS with either a 4-20mA or 0-10 VDC analog signal or with an interface card controlled by BACnet®, LonWorks and other digital systems. If you require a stand alone system then the SSRDP can be controlled by up to twenty (20) low voltage wall mounted controllers model SR-LV (Fig. 3) capable of providing independent zone control. The SR-LV is connected to remote floor or window sensors using CAT-5 cable with RJ45 plugs.
The SmartRooms™ Thermal Comfort System with the use of radiant heating ensures energy-efficient and total temperature comfort.
The SmartRooms™ Thermal Comfort System is Energy Star approved and tested to UL 873 and CSA-C22.2 No 24-93.
