Crude Oil Application

Problem:

Heating oil to 130°F with a flow rate of 400,000 lbs/hr, 1300 psig and an operating pressure of 800 psig.

Solution:

Considering the extreme flow rate the KW requirement was significant at 800 KW. Indeeco split the requirement between (2) 18″ – 400 KW circulation heaters. With the high pressure in mind 600 # vessels and flanges were used and the overall length was around 14 feet.

Along with the heaters, Indeeco quoted a (20) circuit control panel with process control and high limit control.
